This is the Terran's primary labor unit. It can build strucutures, repair structures and units, and gather minerals and vespene gas. While it can fight, due to its limited attack and range, its best not to use the SCV in combat. If however you are forced to use them to fight, gather up as many as you can and throw them all at the enemy. Hopefully this can buy enough time to produce better combat units. Also, whenever attacking with seige tanks, goliaths, or any other mechanized unit, you should always bring an SCV along to repair them should they get damaged. Its ALWAYS better to bring back a damaged unit from the brink of destruction than to just build another one.
